When you think of living on a farm you think … animals. When I think animals, I think work! So, while my wife would like horses and goats and chickens, I would like to go away occasionally without worrying about how to feed the animals. We already have a dog that has outlived his expiration date by three years, luckily we have great neighbors that come in and take care of him while we’re gone.
We do have plenty of “farm animals”, however, that don’t require feeding or maintenance…


Turns out we also had a vulture living in the barn… A favorite activity was to check to see if Feo (yes, we named it) was home. Here is Feo with a friend. Following are a few clips of close encounters…

With regard to the vulture videos and in our defense – These birds have almost a 6 foot wingspan and have claws and beaks designed to tear animals apart. If they feel cornered or threatened, they could do some serious damage… plus, they’re ugly…
