I’m not sure why my wife wanted a new kitchen, I thought the old one was fine! She told me, however, that she would not make food until she got a new kitchen… I like to eat…

I guess some women are just picky…
Still lots of finish work to do but it is coming along!
Here are a few pics during the process…

Luv seeing the before and after! Hope the guest room is as lovely!
We’ll do a post on the guest rooms soon. Lots of room, we’d love to see you!
Wow! Kitchen of my dreams! You guys are amazing!!! That is gorgeous!!!
Wow what a beautiful kitchen!! You have done a lot of amazing work! Love seeing all your posts! We miss the Paul family and love hearing about all your adventures. It snowed here two nights ago and we may get some tonight too. Lol! We all think we’re freezing!🤣We bought a smaller home last summer. It’s in Cortona Hills directly across from Smiths shopping center. After fixing it up we moved in July. I’m still going to dialysis 3x a week and praying for a kidney doner. I need a typeO donee since I’m type O. Anyhow doing quite well on dialysis so far! Lots of blessings. Gary is still doing his real estate both commercial and residential. We’re having a lot of fun team teaching in primary the 8-9 year olds. We have a large class and It’s nice being with these wonderful kiddos. We wish you the best! Hope all in you family are well and we send our love to you!💕
It’s great to hear from you! Sounds like lots of changes for you too! Apparently the weather there is about the same as here – I’m guessing it might warm up there sooner… We miss you and all the great friends we made in Vegas! Our thoughts and prayers are with you and when you are able to travel you’ll have to come visit!
Praying for you to get a transplant soon. I got mine March 4 and feel like a “normal” person again. May you know God’s blessings on this journey.
It looks great! Thanks for sharing the photos!!
Lovely renovation! The remodel adds so much light it’s uplifting. The home seems to have wonderful windows throughout (although, I don’t think I’d be thrilled to have a window right next to a toilet). I found your blog after reading the article published by Business Insider.
Thanks! We appreciate your comments! There were a few strange design issues, like the toilet and window, but we have been able to resolve most of them. We’ll have to do a window treatment in the bathroom when we get a chance! Hope you’ll enjoy the projects still to come!
Beautiful! I really admire you and all your vision and hard work. Were you able to refinish the floors, or did you have to replace them?
Thank you so much CarolBeth! We had some people look at them and they told us we should replace them… We couldn’t justify throwing out all that hardwood so we refinished them! We are so glad we did! They turned out beautifully.
How did you get cat odor out?
It wasn’t easy! Took out all baseboards, wallpaper, baseboard heating, cabinets, carpet. Then we scrubbed, bleached, put special cat deodorizers that worked at the molecular level. Then we painted everything with oil based kilz. Then we started putting everything back together!
