I suppose we will never know why so many things in this house were done the way they were done… (chandelier hanging over banister; going up stairs to master bedroom just to go down stairs on the other side of the door; and the current subject… 3 closets in a bedroom???

Luckily for us, One of the closets helped us to make the house more comfortable for our guests…

The upstairs had 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. One of the bedrooms is being used as a sewing room with a fold out sofa for overflow when we have lots of visitors. None of the bedrooms had a private bathroom. We decided that it would be much more comfortable for our guests if we added a bathroom… so we turned one of the three closets into a bathroom and reconfigured another bathroom.

The shower (not finished yet)… we were able to steal some room from the Jack and Jill bathroom that the bedroom used to share… and eliminate one of the 5 doors in the bedroom…

We bought the Talavera tiles when we lived in Mexico over 20 years ago thinking that we would use them some day… they went with us to Seoul, South Korea; Sydney, Australia; Las Vegas, Nevada; and finally, The Poconos in Pennsylvania, where we finally used them.

We also put in the window that we took out of the Laundry Room
Don’t worry… we still have two closets in the room
